The Junior League of Louisville will host its annual Hollydays Art and Gift Market on Friday, December 4, through Sunday, December 6, 2009. It will be held at the Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center located at 1860 Mellwood Avenue. Mark your calendars now to enjoy vendors and artists from all over the country offering items from gourmet foods to children's clothing, ladies accessories, jewelry and household items. Friday December 4, 2009 - Preview Party/Silent Auction & Junior League General Meeting - 6:00 PM-10:00 PM
The Friday night preview party is proudly sponsored by Underwired. Join us for an unforgettable night of shopping, hors d’oeuvers, fabulous drinks provided by PAMA, Twistee, and Chrisman Mill Vineyards. The night will also include a Silent Auction that is sure to please (click here to view many of the auction items that will be available), along with DJ Kim Sorise spinning tunes in Mellwood's new and spacious event room! All proceeds benefit the Junior League of Louisville's community projects. Tickets only $5.00.
Saturday, December 5, 2009 - General Admission Shopping - 10:00 AM-6:00 PM
Special event: Saturday morning we're planning a visit from Santa for all little ones who insist on letting the "big guy" know exactly what's on their list. Bring the whole family for storytime and breakfast with Santa. Tickets for this event are only $5.00 per child.
Special event: Glassworks will be onsite 2:00-4:00 PM for a Create Your Own Ornament workshop for only $10.00. (Tickets for this event will be sold onsite at the time of the event and no pre-registration is necessary.) General admission shopping will commence at 10am with unique items from the very best local and national merchants.
Sunday December 6, 2009 - General Admission Shopping - 11:00 AM-5:00 PM
Sunday is the last and final day to make sure you've checked off all the names on your list! Be sure to get all your shopping done and enjoy the rest of the holiday season stress-free.
Special event: Kentucky Christmas Wreath Workshop with Green Lady, 10:00 AM-11:30 AM. Green Lady owner and floral designer, Stephanie Lindsay,will provide you with the materials and demonstration for making your own horseshoe-shaped Christmas wreath of locally grown juniper as well as cedar and pine. The size will be perfect for gracing the door or the hearth. Cost: $25.00 (Tickets for this event must be purchased in advance by November 25 using the button above since fresh greenery must be ordered.) Come support local Louisville programs supported by the Junior League and shop with us on December 4-6.
