Two of a Kind

The Gillespie

The Junior League of Louisville (JLL) held its fourth annual charity fundraising bash, “Two of a Kind - A New York State of Mind”, on February 20, 2010. Held at the beautiful Gillespie Event Center from 7 p.m. to midnight, guests enjoyed fabulous foods from Little Italy, Chinatown, Coney Island, Times Square and more.  Guests "tested their luck" with live and silent auctions, Atlantic City-style casino games and fun games straight off the Coney Island boardwalk.  The event benefitted Blessings in a Backpack and the Junior League of Louisville's community projects.

Splendor in the Bluegrass & Cordon Bluegrass

The award-winning Splendor in the Bluegrass cookbook includes 230 delicious recipes submitted by renowned local and regional chefs. Splendor in the Bluegrass is available in local shops and through Junior League members.

Cordon Bluegrass is also available for through a limited reprint of 1,000 copies.  With six Derby menus and some of JLL members' favorite dishes, this cookbook is sure to please!

Corporate Solicitation and Grant Writing

To maximize community resources, the corporate solicitation and grant writing committee pursues funding from local foundations and businesses. These contributions provide the JLL with special event sponsors, revenue to offset operating costs, and funding for community projects.
